Regional Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:The Regional Service Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance repair and customer service across all properties within the region. This role requires regular travel and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with regional and on-site leadership. A successful Regional Service Technician is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision, education reimbursement of $2500 per year, 401k matching up to 4% and a generous 30% discount on rent at any Weidner Community!Primary Responsibilities:Prepare apartments for occupancy including but not limited to: painting, drywall repair, trash out, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairsIndependently perform system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.Perform detailed work with carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting, etcDistinguish when full-paint or touch-up paint is needed, as well as knowledge and ability to identify correct paint sheen and colorPerform and complete service requests for residents daily and timely with minimum supervision or assistanceClean pools as directed, monitor chemical balance, maintain logs as required by city ordinances, when applicablePerform daily grounds maintenance of the property including picking up and disposing of all trash, pet defecation removal, maintain pet waste stations, and sweeping walkwaysParticipate in property improvements and preventive maintenance scheduled tasks, promptlyMust take part in the on-call rotation, as scheduled/neededAccompany vendors to vacant and/or occupied units, as neededMust utilize Weidner issued cell phone and specified apps as part of your daily roleMust use personal vehicle to go between properties as assigned during work hoursWilling and able to help any maintenance or service team as neededSet the standard and participate in a positive team environment through teamwork, communication and excellence in serviceDemonstrate independence and adaptability while supporting multiple locations, consistently modeling accountability, professionalism, and integrityEnsure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all timesRegular and effective communication with Regional Maintenance DirectorInspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediatelyQualifications:3-5 years maintenance experience required3-5 years of painting and drywall repairs requiredHigh degree of mechanical aptitude requiredAble to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kg, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a timeAble to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kgAble to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAble to be on feet constantly for entire work shift, if applicableKnowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systemsHVAC, CPO, EPA certification desiredComplete tasks in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basisAble to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and textExperienced in Microsoft products preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; Willing and able to learn new software programsFollow Weidner’s Mission, Vision and Values and comply with all Weidner policies and procedures as well as all Fair Housing, local, state/province, and federal lawsPrompt, regular attendance; wear company dress code / uniform & maintain professional appearance at all timesWork effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independentlyAbility to work outside of normal scheduled hours as neededWilling and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as neededWorking knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organizedMust agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testingDriver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which associate will workExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceOpportunities for advancementPaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceWork Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
