Genworth IT Development Intern

Requirements Must have: We are looking for students currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer, Systems, or Electrical Engineering, Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics. We value strong academic performance. We look for solid analytical thinking and effective communication skills. We seek demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills. A minimum 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale is preferred. Business acumen and strategic understanding are a plus. Experience with multiple programming languages is advantageous. Responsibilities: We will place you in a fast-paced, innovative, and change-driven environment. We will assign you to core IT teams working in areas such as application development, client/server systems, programming languages, web development, system integration, data science, and/or project management. We will support you in building a strong network of peers and mentors. You will attend on-site technical and professional development classes. You will present your accomplishments to our IT team and senior leadership. You will participate in sponsored community service events. This is a hybrid summer internship based in Richmond, Virginia, with possible relocation assistance for candidates not already in the area. The 10-to-12 week IT Development Program Intern experience gives students real-world exposure to IT leadership and meaningful work that supports caregivers, independent living, and access to quality care resources. Successful rising seniors may have the opportunity to interview for our full-time IT Development Program after the internship.
