Lead Systems Engineer

As an Lead Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of flight management systems for commercial and defense aircraft. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to develop and test system requirements, perform system integration, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Program Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop flight management system requirements Design and define flight management system architectures and interfaces Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies Support the certification process for flight management systems Provide support and oversight to less experienced Systems Engineers on the team Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership. Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to work under minimal supervision. Experience providing technical leadership on complex engineering projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with relevant technologies and industry trends. Knowledge of flight systems and avionics WE VALUE
