American Girl Cafe Lead (Restaurant Supervisor PTU/Permanent)

Pay Range: USD $21 – $23 hourly. Base pay will be determined based on location, skills, and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs and comprehensive benefits. The Opportunity This position is located at the American Girl Retail flagship location and reports directly to the Restaurant Manager. The Cafe Lead assists with daily operations, provides leadership and direction to the department, and delivers a high level of selling and customer service to American Girl guests. Responsibilities Support the Restaurant Leadership Team in overseeing staffing, hiring, coaching/training, purchasing/vendor relations, inventories, and maintaining food/beverage service and safety and sanitation standards. Assist the team in achieving department revenue and expense goals. Ensure customer satisfaction with their dining experience and oversee resolution of any customer service issues. Ensure food quality and consistency, meet special requests and dietary needs, and perform tasks in the absence of the Restaurant Leadership Team. Work with Restaurant and Store Management teams to deliver exceptional events and programs. Maintain ongoing communication with staff and management. Maintain and troubleshoot restaurant/kitchen equipment, Zomato Reservation system, POS, and InfoGenesis software systems. Lead by example in all areas of the business. Qualifications Restaurant experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with front and back‑of‑house operations exposure is preferred. Experience working with children is preferred. Current State Sanitation Certification, ServSafe, and Safe Alcohol Consumption Certification are preferred. Strong working knowledge of Eatec system, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), InfoGenesis/Universal Desktop, Zomato reservation systems, JTech paging system, POS systems, inventory systems, and basic office equipment is preferred. Ability to perform diverse physical tasks, including constant walking and standing, and some heavy lifting (up to 50 lb). Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
