Respiratory Therapist - Part Time

Overview Find your calling at Mercy! Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned. Position Details Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Will consider Certified Respiratory Therapists. Part Time – 12 hours/week. Sign on Bonus: $10,000 available. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and holds a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room, PALS is required. Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Physical demands: Able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 10 lbs.; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
