Position Overview The CNA supports nursing staff by providing direct patient care and assisting with daily living activities. This role is essential in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being while maintaining a high standard of care. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, height, weight, and other patient data
- Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Assist with nutrition by serving meals and documenting intake
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN
- Collect and transport specimens following proper procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and comfort measures
- Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Compassion for patient care
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to emergencies
- Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to assist with patient movement (up to 100+ lbs with support)
- Exposure to clinical environments, including potential biohazards
- Fast-paced healthcare setting requiring flexibility
