Essential Functions:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and emergency response on facility equipment, including steam and hot water boilers, dehumidifiers, chillers, pumps, compressed air and pneumatic systems, electrical panels, wiring, circuits, lighting, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues before they affect operations.

  • Support contamination control and cleanroom operations through routine cleaning, monitoring environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and particulate levels, conducting inspections and audits, enforcing gowning procedures, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the installation, modification, upgrade, and qualification of new systems and equipment, including electrical installations and system integrations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including equipment logs, work orders, purchase requisitions, and inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts, cranes, manlifts, and power tools, including drills, saws, and grinders.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotations and extended-hour support to ensure 24/7 facility readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other departments to meet customer requirements, resolve issues during payload processing, and provide technical updates as a customer interface.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by demonstrating respect, sharing knowledge, contributing to effective work practices, and providing hands-on training in cleanroom procedures, system operations, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, OSHA requirements, and environmental policies while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment through proactive housekeeping.
  • Communicate regularly with team members regarding cleanroom operations, equipment status, and satellite processing activities, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in multi-trade facilities roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in ISO Class 7 cleanroom environments.
  • Extensive background in HVAC systems (including control sequences), electrical systems (wiring, circuits, panels, distribution, and code compliance), plant utilities (steam boilers, chillers, purified water, pumps/drives, boiler treatment), and cleanroom operations.
  • Experience with building automation systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
  • Prior experience working with space flight hardware or in aerospace environments.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom contamination control, protocols, and ISO standards.
