Housekeeper, Heavy DutyOak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the "Property") is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, KY, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.Job SummaryThe Heavy-Duty Housekeeper position is responsible for performing detailed cleaning and restorative cleaning throughout guest rooms to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance prepared for our guests' experience at the property. Rooms are assigned and it is the responsibility of the team member to ensure that all cleaning and organizing of the rooms are completed as assigned, prior to guests entering the hotel rooms.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled deep cleaning of guest rooms, suites, hallways, and public areasShampoo carpets and spot clean stains as neededClean walls, ceilings, baseboards, vents, and light fixturesClean windows, mirrors and glass surfacesClean behind, under, and around furniture and appliancesDust high and low surfaces including vents, artwork and ledgesDeep clean bathrooms, including grout, tile, shower doors and fixturesRotate and flip mattress as directedInspect and report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, or safety hazards to Hotel & Housekeeping SupervisorRemove stains from furniture, upholstery, and carpets using approved cleaning method'sFollow all hotel safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelinesMaintain equipment and notify management when repairs or replacements are neededOther duties as assignedRequired Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with internal departments. Understand and represent Oak Grove's image and reputation both at work and at external functions. Maintaining a professional working relationship among other team members. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity. Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused.Education And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task and take direction. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
