We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.ABOUT THE TEAMThe Quantitative Development team supports Portfolio Management, Strategy and Research with equity models and tools to guide our investment process. This includes portfolio construction, backtesting, transition analysis and other analytical tools.As part of the Quantitative Development team, the Senior Research Software Engineer will be responsible for modernizing existing applications, building new applications and ensuring compliance with SDLC requirements.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with the business unit and other team members to understand and document requirementsDesign and develop integration solutions with 3rd party data providers and systemsShare experience, knowledge, and ideas to the team to improve processes and productivityCreate unit/integration/functional testsFollow our development process and guidelinesConduct code reviews of other developers, merge-request reviewsFollow technology trends/tools and recommend improvements to our technology when appropriateAct as the security expert for the development team by advocating for secure coding practices and implementing security related featuresResponsible for researching and implementing software development initiatives that are cross functional and may be passed off to other groups laterJOB REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience developing cloud native applicationsPython design and development experience is a plusExperience with object-oriented coding languages such as C# or JavaAbility to work well in a highly social and collaborative environmentStrong knowledge of various AWS cloud services like ECS, S3, Batch, EC2In depth experience with various message streaming technologies like KafkaSolid understanding of Docker containerizationIaaS familiarity, working knowledge of TerraformFamiliarity with version control systems such as GIT or SVNWorking experience with agile developmentFamiliarity with continuous integration and build toolsWorking knowledge of NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.Proven track record of becoming a subject matter expert in areas related to current assignmentsEffective communication skills with business users and other developersFamiliarity with AI and related technologies, with the ability to apply them in a business or technical contextParametric believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
