Senior Data Engineer

Job Description The Senior Data Engineer owns end to end delivery of data engineering solutions supporting the Xbox Marketing team, combining hands on development with delivery leadership and stakeholder engagement. This role partners closely with business, analytics, and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, reliable data pipelines and drive predictable execution across multiple initiatives. The role is accountable for solution design, delivery planning, and operational stability, while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and expectations. The ideal candidate balances deep technical expertise with strong communication, ownership, and execution discipline. Roles & Responsibilities Digital Marketing; MSBI; Database Administration (DBMS); Cosmos; Digital : Big Data Platforms Key Responsibilities Own end to end delivery of data engineering initiatives, from requirements intake through design, build, release, and ongoing support. Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines using Azure and Microsoft data platforms. Act as the primary engineering interface for business, analytics, and partner stakeholders, driving clarity on scope, timelines, dependencies, and trade offs. Translate business and analytics requirements into clear technical designs, delivery plans, and effort estimates. Lead execution for assigned workstreams, ensuring predictable delivery and timely communication of risks and blockers. Maintain high standards for data quality, performance, reliability, and operational readiness. Provide hands on development support while also reviewing designs and code produced by other engineers. Guide sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog refinement from an engineering delivery perspective. Support incident management, root cause analysis, and implementation of long term corrective actions.
