Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)

Little Falls, MN

Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Start Date: April 6, 2026

Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) to join a critical access hospital setting. This role requires a strong background in Labor & Delivery, Med Surg, and Pediatrics , as nurses will split time between OB and Med Surg units based on census.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care

• Float to Med Surg/Pediatrics unit as needed (approx. 50/50 split)

• Manage OB patients including labor, preterm labor, postpartum recovery, and triage

• Administer and monitor medications including Pitocin and critical care drips

• Assist with C-sections and deliveries in OR settings

• Monitor fetal status using EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

• Interpret telemetry when required

• Respond to on-call needs within required response time

Unit Details

• L&D Beds: 4 | Postpartum Beds: 6

• Triage Beds: 1

• Patient Ratios:

  • L&D: 1:1 (active labor)

  • Postpartum: 1:2

• Charting System: Epic

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

• Floating: Required (Med Surg/Peds)

Schedule & Requirements

• Night shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM)

• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend

• On-Call: Required (1-hour response time)

• Holiday Requirement: Every 3rd holiday

• Floating: Required based on census

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience

• Must have experience in:

  • Labor & Delivery

  • Med Surg and/or Pediatrics

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Active RN license required at submission
