Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele | Plattsburgh, NY, United States | Start 08/27/2026 | Duration: 4 weeks | 2,103–2,216 per week | No guaranteed hours | Shift: 3x12 Nights | Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting

- Setting: Med Surg Tele unit in a hospital environment with ED Hold and float responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg Tele patients across R5–R7 units, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, IV therapy, and implementing unit protocols
- Perform bladder scans, blood draws, glucose monitoring, and other routine procedures; operate IV pumps and related equipment
- Document assessments and interventions in EPIC; collaborate with the charge nurse, unit staff, and ancillary teammates (CNA/PCT, unit clerk)
- Support ED HOLD patients as needed and participate in patient flow and float assignments between Tele units; maintain patient safety and infection control standards
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and escalate to appropriate clinicians when indicated

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (in file at submission)
- BLS required; NIHSS required prior to starting
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; minimum 1 year in Medical-Surgical Tele specialty
- Certifications: BLS required; CMSRN preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital Med Surg Tele environment and to float to R5/R6/R7 tele units as needed
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 holidays and every other weekend, per unit needs
