Parts Counter Associate Back Counter

The Back Counter Parts Associate supports service technicians and internal departments by identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts needed for repairs. This position also assists external customers with parts requests and orders after the main showroom closes, when customers are directed to the back counter for assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle parts requests from service technicians, service advisors, and other internal departments.
• Identify, source, price, and order the correct parts using parts catalogs and supplier resources.
• Assist external customers with parts requests and orders after the main showroom closes.
• Process orders, special orders, backorders, invoices, and customer deliveries or pickups.
• Communicate parts availability, pricing, and order updates to technicians and customers.
• Process cash transactions when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle and equipment parts and the ability to use parts catalogs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize requests.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with technicians, coworkers, and external customers.
• Dependable and able to support after-hours customer requests as scheduled.
