Overview Title: Sterile Processing Technician Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. To learn more, visit Responsibilities The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry and patient charge card batching. Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014. Two (2) years' experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred. Central Supply Certified certification required within two years from date of hire. Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 to $24.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
