Growing together.The Manager, Business Operations & Strategic Enablement serves as a strategic partner to Provider Data and Eligibility Operations leadership, supporting executive issue management, operational performance analysis, process optimization, business reviews, and strategic improvement initiatives.This role is responsible for translating complex operational challenges into actionable recommendations, leading cross-functional process improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, automation, and scalability, and supporting leadership communications and decision making. The position partners closely with operations, technology, markets, payors, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across Provider Data and Eligibility Operations.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities:Executive Issue Management & Business SupportLead research, analysis, and coordination of high-priority operational issues and executive escalationsConduct root cause analyses and develop executive-ready summaries and recommendationsPartner with operational leaders to track remediation efforts and monitor progress against strategic prioritiesProvide analytical support for leadership decision making and business planning activitiesSupport leadership in identifying emerging operational risks, trends, and opportunitiesProcess Optimization & Operational ExcellenceLead efforts to document, map, and evaluate end-to-end workflows across Provider Data and Eligibility OperationsIdentify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, automation, scalability, and operational effectivenessAnalyze current-state processes to identify rework, waste, unnecessary handoffs, bottlenecks, and process variationFacilitate development of future-state workflows and operational models that improve performance and reduce operational riskPartner with operational and technology teams to support implementation of process improvementsDevelop business cases supporting automation and process enhancement opportunitiesBusiness Performance & Strategic InitiativesMonitor operational performance trends and identify opportunities for business improvementSupport strategic initiatives across Provider Data and Eligibility OperationsCoordinate cross-functional projects involving operational, technology, market, and business stakeholdersDevelop performance reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and analytical tools that support operational decision-makingTrack strategic initiatives through implementation and completionExecutive Communications & Leadership EngagementDevelop executive-ready presentations, communications, business reviews, and decision-support materialsPrepare materials for Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), leadership meetings, governance reviews, and strategic planning sessionsTranslate complex operational information into concise messaging tailored to executive audiencesEnsure leadership communications accurately reflect operational performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of healthcare operations, provider data, eligibility, business operations, process improvement or related experienceExperience leading cross-functional initiatives and operational improvement effortsExperience conducting root cause analysis and developing business recommendationsExperience documenting business processes and facilitating process improvement initiativesExperience developing executive-level presentations, reports, and communicationsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsDemonstrated solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational levelsPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting Facets, Epic, Xcelys, Monarch, or related healthcare operational platformsExperience with process mapping, workflow design, Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement methodologiesExperience identifying automation opportunities and supporting business transformation initiativesExperience leading MBRs, QBRs, executive reviews, governance forums, or strategic planning effortsExperience developing business cases, operational analyses, and executive recommendationsExperience supporting large-scale implementations, migrations, platform conversions, or operational stabilization initiatives*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
