Key Responsibilities of the RN Pediatric Pre-op
- Assist in pre-operative assessments and preparations for pediatric patients
- Ensure patient safety and comfort prior to surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams and communicate effectively with parents or guardians
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed
- Provide education and support to families regarding pre-operative procedures
Requirements of the RN Pediatric Pre-op
- Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing preferred
