Manager, AmeriCorps & Human Resources

The Be Kind People Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced, highly organizedprofessional to join our team as Manager, AmeriCorps & Human Resources . This is an important management position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, values accuracy andaccountability, and wants their professional work to have a larger purpose. The person in this role willmanage essential organizational functions while supporting programs that contribute to the developmentof our community's future citizens and leaders. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager, AmeriCorps & Human Resources will beresponsible for two important areas of the organization: administration and compliance of our AmeriCorpsprogram and coordination of key human resources functions. The right person will bring experience—but just as importantly, will bring initiative, integrity, adaptability,sound judgment, and an understanding that excellent administration helps make excellent programspossible. What You'll Do Lead AmeriCorps Administration & Compliance Manage the administrative and compliance functions of the organization's AmeriCorps program, includingmember enrollment and exit processes, documentation, member records, service-hour and timesheetrequirements, required systems and databases, background screening, reporting, deadlines, and ongoingcompliance. Maintain accurate, organized, audit-ready records and work closely with organizational leadership andother departments to ensure program and contractual requirements are consistently met. Coordinate Human Resources Manage key HR processes, including recruitment, applicant screening, hiring, onboarding, personneldocumentation, background checks, employee records, policy and compliance documentation, andoffboarding. Maintain confidential personnel information and help ensure that HR policies, standards, documentation,and processes are applied consistently throughout the organization. Manage Systems, Compliance & Reporting Maintain accurate databases, tracking systems, electronic records, and reports supporting AmeriCorps, HR,and related government-funded activities. Coordinate with operations, accounting, program leadership, and other team members to ensure requiredinformation is accurate, complete, timely, and accessible. Recognize potential compliance or administrative issues early and take initiative to help resolve them. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required. 2+ years of experience managing AmeriCorps programs, government contracts, government-funded programs, or comparable regulated contractual programs. 3+ years of professional human resources experience. Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance, documentation, and confidential recordkeeping. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage databases, reporting systems, electronic records, anddetailed information. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and follow-through. Direct AmeriCorps program and system-management experience is strongly preferred. Accounting or business management skills are a plus. The Person We're Looking For Qualifications matter. Starting salary: $60,000 annually for a 40-hour workweek, commensurate with experience, with a 30-hour workweek option available at proportionately adjusted compensation.
