Summary:

• Develops, configures, and maintains embedded software and firmware on Xilinx SoC platforms including Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal.

• Implements and debugs Processing System to Programmable Logic (PS/PL) interfaces, AXI interconnects, and memory maps.

• Develops and validates Board Support Packages (BSP), PetaLinux or embedded Linux distributions, device drivers, and low-level communication interfaces including PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and UART.

• Leads hands-on board bring-up, hardware and software integration, and system-level debugging in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.

• Designs and implements responsive front-end graphical user interfaces using Java or modern JavaScript frameworks including React, Vue, Angular, JavaFX, or Electron.

• Builds control dashboards, telemetry displays, and command interfaces for payload emulation testbeds and operational teams.

• Integrates UI applications with embedded back-end services, APIs, and hardware endpoints for real-time monitoring and control.

• Utilizes Xilinx toolchains including Vivado, Vitis, PetaLinux, and SDK for software build pipelines, profiling, and debugging.

• Follows modern software engineering practices including code reviews, documentation, and version control using Git or GitLab.

• Supports high-speed serial protocols and network communications including 10GbE, PCIe, Aurora, SpaceWire, and MIL-STD-1553.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• 5 9 years of professional experience in embedded hardware and software development and integration.

• Hands-on experience developing for Xilinx SoC or MPSoC architectures including Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Xilinx design and development tools including Vivado, Vitis, PetaLinux, and SDK.

• Proven experience with PS/PL integration, embedded Linux or RTOS, board bring-up, and device driver development.

• Practical development experience creating user interfaces and GUIs using Java (JavaFX or Swing) or JavaScript (React, Node, Vue, or Electron) frameworks.

• Strong hands-on lab troubleshooting and debugging skills using lab test equipment including logic analyzers, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.

• Preferred: Experience developing custom FPGA IP, working with High-Level Synthesis, interfacing with custom hardware peripherals, and building real-time data streaming or command-and-control visualization tools for space or aerospace test systems.
