Senior Project Manager

Job Title: (Sr.) Project Manager — Utility-Scale Solar & BESS - REMOTE with 50%+ travel Company Overview Our client is a premier EPC firm backed by one of the largest and most successful private companies in the world. With a massive multi-GW pipeline of solar and battery storage projects, they combine the agility of a specialized renewable builder with the financial bedrock of a global industrial giant. ☀️ The Role We are looking for a true P&L leader to take ownership of large capital projects ($100M+). You will manage the full lifecycle of utility-scale projects—from "cradle to grave"—ensuring financial accuracy, schedule adherence, and construction quality. You will serve as a "Supervisor of Supervisors," leading construction managers, superintendents, and engineers in the field. What You’ll Do Financial Command: Own the project budget entirely, an expert in forecasting, "Estimate at Complete" (EAC), and cost-to-complete analysis during the construction phase. Field Leadership: This is a leadership role, not a desk job. You will manage teams (up to ~20 org size) through tough situations, maintaining a strong culture and "boots-on-the-ground" presence when things go south. Risk & Value: Proactively identify risks before they impact the bottom line and find value‑engineering opportunities to save cost and improve delivery. Cradle to Grave: Oversee the project from pre‑construction handoff through to substantial completion and closeout. What You Bring Big Ticket Experience: You must have successfully delivered a capital project valued at minimum $100M from start to finish. EPC Background: Deep experience in heavy industrial EPC, Power Plants, or Natural Gas is required. (Renewables/Solar experience is a plus, but strong large‑cap construction management is the priority). Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage complex project financials, specifically forecasting and cost controls during active construction. Mobility: Willingness to travel 50%+ to project sites, primarily in the Southeast. Work Setup Location: Remote / Field-Based (Projects are concentrated in the Southeast: NC, SC, FL, VA, TN).
