Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Woodruff Clinic team! Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus The CMA or MA is a valued member of the clinic care team, performing a wide variety of supportive tasks throughout the outpatient continuum of care, including both clinical and non-clinical duties. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed medical professional and is primarily responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, reviewing and documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for provider evaluation. HOURS: Occasional 0.01 FTE, Hours and Shifts as Needed Experience/Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of patient care standards, clinical practices, and safety protocols Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare experience preferred Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire; preferred but not required CNAs are eligible to apply and will receive on-site training to transition into the MA role Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire – All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED Employee Benefits Full benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.
