Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II

Location: 4301 Forest Street, Denver, CO 80216

Shift: Primarily third shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM), with the potential for second shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM). This is a unionized facility, where seniority determines shift assignments and scheduling. Flexibility to work different days, including Saturdays or Sundays, is required.

Assignment Details:

• Extension possibility: Yes
• Conversion to full-time: Possible based on worker performance. Conversion requires joining the onsite union.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing equipment experience is ideal.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs frequently.
• Knowledge of ammonia systems and boilers preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to read and understand technical prints.
• Basic working knowledge of PLCs.
• Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills.
• Proficiency with basic shop and power tools.
• Ability to work in noisy environments.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance (PM) procedures and ability to follow instructions.
• Experience starting and stopping production machinery.
• Ability to adjust production machinery.
• Ability to accurately document process forms, equipment downtime, and work orders.
• Previous forklift or powered equipment experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing plant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain motors, tools, conveyor systems, and production machines to help ensure the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions across various types of equipment.
• Identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Remove defective parts using hand and power tools, and examine parts to assess their condition.
• Inspect used parts with rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to determine dimensional changes.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Help minimize downtime by informing production workers about preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment and complete maintenance paperwork daily.
• Prepare equipment for daily operation.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
• Comply with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company and site policies.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures as required.
