Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed adult medical-surgical unit with primary diagnoses including orthopedic surgeries (TKR, THR, TSR), back and abdominal surgeries, small bowel obstruction, infections, osteomyelitis, acute kidney injuries, and urology cases
• Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong critical thinking skills to deliver safe, efficient care in a high-acuity environment
• Collaborate with an experienced nursing team to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care while prioritizing patient safety
• Float between medical-surgical and similar departments as needed
• Adhere to on-call and callback requirements as discussed and agreed upon during the placement process

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Highly adaptable with the ability to manage change and perform effectively in fast-paced environments
• Must not be a local candidate (40-mile radius restriction applies)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Background in post-surgical or high-acuity medical-surgical nursing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
