Audit ManagerOur client is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their South Bend, Indiana team. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional who has demonstrated progressive growth in audit and is ready to take on greater leadership, client relationship, and team management responsibilities.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical audit background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while leading and developing a team of professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to professional standards.Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 3–6 accounting professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development.Delegate audit assignments and responsibilities effectively based on team members' experience and capabilities.Manage multiple client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement process.Communicate directly with clients regarding audit findings, recommendations, timelines, and other engagement matters.Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.Identify opportunities to improve audit processes, client service, and engagement efficiency.Assist with complex accounting and auditing issues and provide technical guidance to staff.Monitor engagement budgets, deadlines, and overall project performance.Participate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of client relationships.Qualifications5+ years of progressive audit experience within public accounting.Public accounting experience is required.CPA certification is highly preferred.Proven experience leading and developing audit teams.Experience managing client relationships and communicating directly with clients.Strong understanding of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial statement preparation.Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
