Medical Coding SpecialistMedical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder); knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training; must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application. Inpatient and ED experience.RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of inpatient coding experience required. -Strong expertise in 3M, Windows, and EPIC systems required. -Healthcare coding or health information certifications such as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CCP required. -Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day -100% Remote – Candidates must be comfortable working in the Eastern Time ZoneSkills: RequiredMEDICAL CODING, MS WORD, EXCEL, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4Additional Skills3M, ENCODER, CODING GUIDELINES, PAYOR GUIDELINES, FEDERAL BILLING GUIDELINES, ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, DISEASE PROCESSES, RESEARCH, CODER TRAINING, HDS CODING APPLICATION, INPATIENT EXPERIENCE, ED EXPERIENCESalary Description 37.00 to 39.00 per hour
