Registered Nurse – Endoscopy/GI

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 8 PM; on-call required for overnights and weekends. Options for 5, 8-hour shifts or 4, 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

• New York State Nursing License
• BLS Certification (AHA only)
• ACLS Certification (AHA only)
• 2 years of experience in endoscopy procedures
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification skills required
• Experience with conscious sedation
• Expertise in IV insertion
• Experience in recovering patients from general anesthesia
• Proficient in performing intake for GI procedures

Responsibilities

• Answer patient questions and address concerns.
• Observe and monitor patient vital signs.
• Sedate patients before procedures and recover them afterward.
• Administer necessary medication to patients.
• Complete all necessary documentation including patient notes and discharge documents.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Clean and sterilize equipment before use.
• Assist doctors during procedures.
• Administer IV drips as needed.
