Kennel Assistant

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking two dedicated Kennel Assistants to join our team in Tukwila, Washington!

Pay: $21 - $24 / hour

Pay is dependent on experience and leveling through the Kahuna leveling system.

Shift differentials are eligible for weekends and overnights *based on a 4-hour minimum.

Schedule: Two openings available. Coverage needed for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Can be day, swing, evenings, and overnight. Please let us know which days/shifts you are able to work!

A Kennel Assistant attends to the basic needs of animals that are patients of the hospital and cleans the hospital facility, equipment, and tools. The role may include assistance with basic patient care such as the safe restraint of patients during treatment.

As a Kennel Assistant, you will:

• Observe patients for obvious signs of health concerns and report any findings to senior staff.

• Clean and disinfect areas of the hospital as oftenas isnecessary tomaintainhigh standardsof care.

• Prepare patient meals, clean patient cages,and bedding, andmaintainlitter boxes.

• Safely approach and restrain cooperative patients as needed during treatments.

• Provide routine attention to patients, including walking dogs.

• Effectively clean andmaintainhospital equipment and tools.

• Quantify patient voids and report findings to senior Veterinary Assistant or Technician.

• Remove and wash soiled laundry and keep clean laundry stocked.

• Patrol facility regularly to ensure cleanliness.
