This is considered an extracurricular contract. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversees the artistic vision of the production. Approves the proposed costume and scenic designs. Guides the cast and crew. Strategic Planning: Casting, Blocking, and Scheduling rehearsals Communicates clearly with parents the schedule and expectations of the cast regarding behavior, rehearsal attendance, and commitment to the show. Team Management: Checking in on the work of each member of the creative and technical team. Performance Accountability: director’s notes for cast and crew during rehearsal Discussing Financial Management with Production Manager “Calling the show” during the performances. Directs technical cues for sound, lighting, and mics on headset. Communicates with stage manager backstage to assist with the show running smoothly (curtain calls, preparing cast to find their places) Troubleshoot any problems that arise. Cappies: Participate in the organization. Enter our High School show in a timely manner. Select and Mentor our High School Cappies who will represent Interboro High School.
