Who We Are:

With three campuses along Colorado’s Front Range, FRCC is the state’s largest community college. We enroll close to 28,000 students annually from our diverse service area, which offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities.

Job Summary:

As a part-time instructor in the Public Services department, you provide instruction in all levels Elementary Education, including certificate and/or transfer levels.

Our Elementary Education program includes an associate’s degree in Elementary Education, as well as introductory courses, a practicum, multicultural education, technology, and exceptional learners. Your role would be teaching online, typically in an asynchronous environment, though we sometimes offer hybrid, synchronous, or in person opportunities.

You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop an innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success are your top priority. You utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills.

Course assignments are made based on experience, availability, and the needs of the department; as a result, you may be asked to teach at different times and modalities.

While additional teaching opportunities may arise, this posting is primarily looking for instructors that are interested in teaching education courses including but not limited to: Introduction to Education (EDU 2211); Multicultural Education (EDU 2341); Teaching Exceptional Learners (EDU 2401); and Teaching, Learning, and Technology (EDU 2611). For further details regarding EDU courses (including the specific courses mentioned above), please see the FRCC 2026-2027 Course Catalog.

Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment. Also, Front Range Community College is an E-Verify employer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Education or a related degree.

OR

• A Master’s degree in any field plus 18 graduate credit hours in Education.

Related Degree:  Early Childhood Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Administrative Leadership & Policy Studies, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Multi-cultural Education, Cross-cultural Education, or another relevant degree per transcript review.

Equivalent Experience:  Master's or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Multi-cultural Education, Cross-cultural Education and 3 years of experience teaching at the post-secondary level.

CTE Credential: This instructor position may teach Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. In addition to the qualifications listed above, the selected candidate may be required to have a current CTE credential or the ability to obtain one within one year to teach. Selection Process:

The selection process for this instructor position will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. Preliminary screening will be based on the completed application package submitted by the candidate. the needs of the College.
