Patient Volume/Census:20 patients/day

Case Mix:Low-risk pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, gynecology, surgical gynecology, emergency OB/GYN cases

No. of Beds in Department:337 hospital beds

Trauma Level:Level 2

EMR System:Epic

Specialty Backup Available:FPOB residents in-house during OB rotations

Support Staff Available:13 PA/NPs, RN cohort support, minimum 1:1 MA-to-provider ratio

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses:Active Washington license or IMLC

Board:Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

DEA:Active DEA Certification required

Certifications:BLS

Experience:Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN experience required (2+ years plus fellowship considered)

Other Qualifications: Ability to mentor/advisory support for new graduate providers and APPs

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage Monday through Friday

Support APPs and midwives with complex patients

Perform OB/GYN surgical procedures and flex into the OR as needed

Manage labor and delivery patients including high-risk obstetrics

Mentor and advise new graduate providers when applicable

Handle emergent OB/GYN surgical cases from the ED including hysterectomy, ectopic pregnancy, D&C, ovarian cystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy
