Director, UI/UX Design - Analytics & Data Visualization Focus
The Sr. Director, User Experience & Design is responsible for leading a growing team of UI/UX professionals who are responsible for designing and delivering functional, repeatable, and elegant visual representations of data & analytics platforms, to drive rapid insight and decisioning. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our analytics products and the way they're perceived, while being a fierce advocate for our customers. Ideal candidates have insatiable curiosity, are natural problem solvers, and are motivated by delivery and execution. We're looking for leaders who possess strong instincts, have a track record of success, and are comfortable creating solutions that resolve complexity and ambiguity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and lead a growing team of UX professionals, UI designers, and dashboard developers, to bring our data to life
- Work closely with internal executives, internal product managers and external customers to develop personas, identify user needs, understand user motivation and behavior, and design experiences that inform and delight
- Develop, implement, and train staff on a new product research process and visual design lifecycle
- Develop sustainable design and development practices by overseeing the development of pattern libraries and componentry
- Remain hands on in the UI/UX design while the team scales
- Mentor and develop staff across the UX and design family of roles
Skills We're Seeking
- 7+ years of experience with UI/UX
- 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX leader (team lead, principal, manager, director, etc.)
- 2+ recent years of experience focused on UI/UX for analytics, or other data-visualization platforms
