About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the growth of an established engineering consulting organization in New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong civil/site engineer looking to expand into client relationship management, project leadership, and business development while continuing to leverage their engineering expertise.

Working remotely from Central or North-Central New Jersey, you will collaborate with internal engineering teams and company leadership to support land development projects, strengthen client relationships, and expand the organization's regional presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support civil/site design, grading, and land development projects.
• Prepare and review engineering plans and technical drawings using Civil 3D.
• Serve as a technical resource for clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry contacts.
• Identify new project opportunities and contribute to regional business growth.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and environmental teams to deliver quality project solutions.
• Assist with proposals, client development, and business development initiatives.
• Maintain regular communication with project teams and company leadership while working remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, site design, or land development.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with civil/site design, grading, and Civil 3D.
• Demonstrated technical credibility and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Career progression from hands-on engineering work toward project leadership or client-facing responsibilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Interest in combining technical engineering expertise with client relationship development and business growth.
