Assignment Details

Less than 1 year of minimum experience required.

Requirements

• Completion of a JRCERT approved radiological training program or equivalent
• Current registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in R.T. and C.T., or willingness to obtain C.T. accreditation
• Current Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality x-ray and CT images as directed by the physician or radiologist
• Provide proper radiation protection measures
• Maintain a safe working environment by performing equipment checks and cleaning work area
• Regularly transport patients as needed
• Knowledge of PACS systems and releasing/transmitting images
• Work collaboratively with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences
