Physician and Advanced Provider Careers Full Time Exempt , Varies Hours/Pay Period: 72 Additional Shift Details: per contract Posted 06/11/2026 Job Summary The Physician Assistant’s responsib ilities include working with physicians to provide professional services included but not limited to comprehensivemedical care of patients by examining, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic health conditions. Design a plan of care, with the patient, to promote, maintain and/or restore health. Perform various additional patient care actions depending on the diagnosis. Participate in medical direction to (staff) individuals providing direct patient care, assist in the education of staff in the delivery of patient services, and assist in responsibility for the supervision of the overallprofessional and clinicalaspects of care rendered at the practicesite. Preferred Job Requirements Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Possess clinical skills, professional, physiological and emerging technical knowledge and proficiency in diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation procedures. Familiarity with HER/EMR programs. Excellent communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with patients and their families and guests, co-workers, managers, Hospital Administrations, providers, consultants, business associates and regulatory agencies presenting a professional image as a representative of Marion General Hospital. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to carry out duties in a professional manner, as well as the ability to work well under stress. Excellent time management, and organizational skills Ability to problem solve, multi-task in a fast-paced setting and work well in a team environment. Highly developed computer skills to include the ability to learn and proficiently perform computer applications related to operations and job function. High degree of accuracy with concentration and close attention to detail. Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple issues simultaneously combined with ability to effectively prioritize Ability to effectively perform job functions under periods of extreme stress and producing positive outcomes. Ability to be discreet and protect the integrity of any confidential matter or information encountered during the performance of job duties. Working Conditions Typical hospital and clinical environment with frequent standing and walking Work may be subject to interruptions and occasional high stress levels. Exposure to potentially violent situations. Risk for occupational exposure to blood, body fluid and other potentially infectious, electrical and radiation hazards. Works with protected health information Works in close proximity to patients and visitors. Ability to work any shift, occasional extended hours, holidays and/or weekends based on the needs of the department. Physical and Mental Activities, Tools and Equipment Standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling to provide patient care and to utilize patient care devices necessary to perform duties in a safe manner. Requires the ability to handle highly emotional and highly stressful situations. Use of computers and other standard office equipment. Pushing workstation on wheels to patient rooms Lifting supplies and equipment typically found in clinical patient care areas. Operates equipment typically found in patient rooms.
