Details\n \n 28-bed mixed ICU setting handling PCU/med-surg holding admissions \n Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 \n Uses i-mobile phones and mobile computer workstations on wheels \n Documentation via Meditech EMR \n Schedule of 3x12-hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend \n Rotates holiday coverage with hospital employees \n Travelers float first, potentially to ED or PCU to cover ICU/PCU holds \n Bedside shift report used for every patient transfer of care \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (SC or Compact) required \n Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale \n Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in ICU \n Prior CVICU experience required \n One previous successful travel assignment preferred, ideally at a Meditech facility \n Comfort managing ventilated patients and caring for 1-3 ICU patients \n Proficient in reading telemetry strips \n Experience with CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and phlebotomy required \n BSN preferred \n Advanced certifications and TNCC preferred \n US SSN and DOB required for consideration \n One professional reference required \n No employment gaps of 90 days in the past 12 months \n Additional Information\n \n Care for post-op day 0 CABG patients, impellas, balloon pumps, and Swan Ganz lines \n Manage neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage including EVDs and Codman bolts \n Experience with Arctic Sun induced hypothermia therapy \n Administer respiratory treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) outside the ICU as needed \n Opportunity to train in Neuro ICU or Cardiovascular ICU skills for interested candidates \n Opportunity to train in head and neck flap procedure patient care, part of one of 14 such programs nationwide \n Navy uniform required per dress code \n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-756913.
