Hotel General Manager

Assist the General Manager in all departments in the effort to generate profit, meet or exceed budget expectations, and maintain operational and guest service standards. Directly supervise all departments including front office, housekeeping, sales, and engineering to ensure all departments and brand standards are being met and operational efficiencies are being realized.

Essential functions include hiring, training, counseling, and motivating strong departmental teams; developing departmental schedules; assisting in performing department forecasts; processing accounts receivable; monitoring department budgets; checking daily reports; assisting GM with accounting procedures; championing brand initiatives; fulfilling guest special requests; managing brand and OTA messaging platforms; updating systems availability; monitoring posting of guest charges; ensuring proper delivery of guest services; monitoring room availability; ensuring an effective cash control system; overseeing GSS scores; focusing on employee morale; overseeing the preventative maintenance program; conducting inspections; educating department heads on emergency procedures; using the L.E.A.R.N Model for guest recovery incidents; establishing effective departmental communication; creating employee engagement activities; developing and maintaining hotel programs; taking a leadership role in human resource functions; participating in the MOD program; and carrying out any reasonable request by management.
