Associate Attorney - Defense Litigation

Overview Litigation Associate Attorney – Orange County, CA Location: Orange County, CA Employment Type: Full-Time An established civil litigation defense practice is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Orange County office. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload and work closely with experienced litigators on complex matters. Responsibilities Manage a caseload involving: Personal Injury Defense; Premises Liability; Products Liability; Transportation Litigation; Habitability Defense. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal briefs. Conduct legal research and analysis. Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and depositions. Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery and motion practice. Assist with trial preparation and case strategy. Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active California Bar membership in good standing. U.S. work authorization required. 5-7+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Personal Injury Defense; Premises Liability; Products Liability; Transportation Litigation; Habitability Defense. Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
