Fire Protection Designer

Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer
Design fire sprinkler system layouts for commercial and institutional projects.
Coordinate fire protection designs with other MEP trades.
Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare stock/material listings.
Conduct field surveys and hydrant flow tests.
Attend coordination meetings (virtual and project-based).
Support estimating team with bid drawing reviews and preparation.
Ensure designs comply with NFPA standards and project requirements.
Develop accurate and constructible fire protection system layouts.
Maintain documentation and revisions throughout project lifecycle.
Collaborate with operations, estimating, and field teams for project execution.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and calculations.
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and mechanical/plumbing fundamentals.
Experience working with NFPA codes and standards.
Proficiency in Revit (minimum 3+ years required).
Experience with fire protection design software (AutoSPRINK preferred).
Experience with hydraulic calculations and system design.
NICET certification preferred.
Field installation experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills.
