Location: Van Nuys (hybrid)

Pay: $27-$28 hr. DOE

Schedule : Monday-Friday

Position Summary
The Payment Posting Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of daily payments in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments and adjustments from multiple sources, including electronic remittances (ERAs), explanation of benefits (EOBs), paper checks, and patient portals
• Follow established payment reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prioritize workload to meet turnaround expectations and daily deadlines
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards set by the department
• Maintain low error rates in accordance with internal policies
• Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries, including phone support

Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing or payment posting experience
• Strong experience interpreting EOBs and ERAs from major insurance carriers

Skills
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of confidentiality standards, including HIPAA compliance

Technical Proficiency
• Intermediate Excel skills (data entry, formatting, basic formulas)
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred

Pay Details: $27.00 to $28.00 per hour
