International Admissions & Recruitment Advisor Responsible for recruiting prospective international students, serving as the main point of contact within assigned territories, understanding the University of Arizona’s academic offerings and admission processes, and engaging in recruitment activities—including international travel, virtual presentations, and proactive outreach—to meet strategic enrollment goals. Recruitment Acts as the main point of contact from interest to enrollment for students within one’s assigned territory Maintains an in-depth understanding of the University of Arizona’s rankings, academic programs, application requirements, policies, and key selling points for all undergraduate and graduate programs Manages a personal and office email inbox; responds promptly to incoming student queries Maintains an advising appointment calendar and meets regularly with students and families Manages phone line and texting platforms (WhatsApp, etc.) and responds promptly to queries Outreaches, schedules, and prepares virtual presentations for high schools, universities, partners, and EducationUSA staff Utilizes cultural competency and communication skills to execute clear, concise verbal and written communications Builds a comprehensive virtual and in‑person recruitment plan that aligns with territory enrollment goals and yields strong ROI Prepares an estimated travel budget covering flights, hotels, per diem, events, and other anticipated costs Book all in‑country travel needs—including flights, hotels, transportation, logistics, material shipment—and maintains receipts for each booking Strategically schedules all recruitment activities, plans for sufficient materials, and executes efficiently Admissions Reviews and evaluates undergraduate applications, including transcripts, essays, recommendation letters, extracurriculars, and exam scores Assesses a student’s overall character and alignment with institutional values Interprets transcripts from all countries and educational systems Analyzes application materials for authenticity Scores completed applications based on a predetermined rubric Data Entry and Management Uses the Slate CRM for student outreach at all stages of the admission funnel Calls, texts, and emails prospective students as they express interest Monitors student progress on their application Ensures completion of all required application materials, including transcripts, English proficiency scores, essays, and resumes Congratulates each admitted student following their offer of admission Supports admitted students with next steps and arrival tasks Inputs and maintains accurate student data Records all student interactions Manages all recruitment activities in Slate and completes follow‑up reports after each event Maintains up‑to‑date contact information for high school counselors, university contacts, and government staff Regulatory and Research Requirements Researches and maintains current information on secondary schools and higher education systems Researches and maintains current information on academic calendars, breaks, regional holidays, and optimal outreach times Reviews institutional and Open Doors data annually to design and manage an outreach plan tailored to each country’s portfolio Maintains an in‑depth understanding of the student visa process to advise and support admitted international students Researches and maintains current information on policy and regulatory changes affecting the student visa process Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Excellent customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people Strong presentation skills Basic understanding of U.S. and/or international social media platforms Willingness and flexibility to learn new skills in a diverse, collaborative, rapid‑paced environment Ability to collect and interpret recruitment‑related data Ability to travel domestically and internationally 4‑6 weeks per year to support recruitment efforts Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional‑level experience Minimum of three years of relevant work experience Valid driver’s license and ability to drive in accordance with the University Fleet Safety Policy Ability to travel internationally Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of a second language, preferably Spanish Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance plans Life insurance and disability programs Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays Tuition reduction for employee and qualified family members Retirement plans Access to recreation and cultural activities #J-18808-Ljbffr UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA
