About the Role
The Company is seeking a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with a strong background in data privacy and compliance. The DPO will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of data privacy compliance, including the management of personal data in accordance with federal and international regulations. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from policy and procedure updates to training business units on regulatory requirements and integrating them into the company's policies. The DPO will also be the key contact for all data protection matters, both nationally and internationally, and will work closely with various business units to coordinate data privacy efforts. Candidates for the DPO position at the company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with at least 3 years' of experience specifically in data privacy, and a total of 15 years' in data governance, information security, or related fields. Essential qualifications include a CIPP/E certification and experience in regulator liaison. Desirable qualifications include a background in the banking and financial industry and additional certifications in information security or data privacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of data privacy tools, MS Office, and excellent communication and influencing skills to work with stakeholders at all levels. The role requires a proactive individual with the ability to multitask, analyze events, and pay close attention to detail while contributing to the company's data privacy strategy.
