Logistics CoordinatorLocation: Salinas, CA Schedule: Full-Time, Non-exempt, Monday to Friday, Weekends required as needed, OnsiteAbout the RoleDuda Farm Fresh Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to support our transportation and supply chain operations in Salinas, California. This position plays a critical role in coordinating the movement of finished goods and raw materials, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining transportation records, and supporting our commitment to customer service and operational excellence.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving logistical challenges, and can effectively coordinate with transportation providers, customers, warehouses, and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the transportation of finished goods and raw materials to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.Schedule and manage transportation appointments with customers, warehouses, and freight carriers.Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery and communicate shipment status updates.Investigate and document transportation exceptions, including delays, shortages, damages, and temperature-related concerns.Maintain accurate shipment data within transportation management and business systems.Review freight invoices and transportation charges for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Support refrigerated transportation operations and ensure compliance with transportation and food safety requirements.Maintain transportation documentation, including bills of lading, proofs of delivery, and freight records.Monitor carrier compliance documentation, including insurance and other required records.Prepare and distribute transportation and logistics reports as requested.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of one year of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, shipping, or supply chain operations.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.PreferredTwo or more years of logistics coordination experience.Experience in fresh produce, food distribution, refrigerated freight, or temperature-controlled transportation.Bilingual English/Spanish skills.Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Dynamics.Skills & CompetenciesCustomer-focused service approachStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasksExcellent attention to detail and data accuracySound judgment and decision-makingAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to compliance, quality, and continuous improvementWorking ConditionsCombination of office and warehouse environments.Occasional exposure to cooler and production environments.Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use computer equipment for extended periods.Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.Availability to support occasional after-hours, weekend, and on-call operational needs.Why Join Duda Farm Fresh Foods?At Duda Farm Fresh Foods, we are committed to delivering quality products while fostering a collaborative and team-focused environment.
