Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys is a Houston institution, known for its iconic sandwiches, fresh ingredients, Texas hospitality, and deep local roots. Since 1962, Antone’s has served generations of loyal guests while continuing to introduce new customers to one of Houston’s most recognized food brands.

Today, Antone’s products are available in more than 800 grocery and foodservice outlets across Texas and Louisiana. While our distribution business continues to grow, our original Houston restaurants remain the heart and heritage of the Antone’s brand.

We are seeking a dynamic, quality-focused General Manager to lead our Houston restaurant operations, develop strong teams, strengthen the guest experience, and help expand catering, community partnerships, and other restaurant-based business opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of Antone’s Houston sandwich shop/restaurant locations while partnering with ownership and senior leadership on future growth initiatives.

• Support planned restaurant improvements, including upcoming remodeling projects and ongoing reviews of operational processes and standards.

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop high-performing restaurant teams focused on hospitality, quality, accountability, and teamwork.

• Manage staffing, scheduling, food safety, sanitation, inventory, and daily restaurant operations.

• Drive financial performance through effective labor management, inventory controls, food cost management, and operational discipline.

• Monitor restaurant performance and take action to improve productivity, profitability, service, and guest satisfaction.

• Collaborate with Antone’s senior management to execute company, brand, and operational initiatives.

• Grow catering and off-premise sales in partnership with Antone’s Foodservice Sales team through local business relationships, community partnerships, and creative outreach.

• Maintain Antone’s standards for food quality, preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and service.

• Respond to guest feedback promptly and professionally while identifying opportunities to improve the overall guest experience.

• Assist with basic facility and equipment needs and coordinate maintenance when necessary.

• Serve as a visible leader in the restaurants and within the local community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a fast-casual, quick-service restaurant, or similar restaurant environment.

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain strong restaurant teams.

• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including P&L management, labor costs, food costs, inventory, scheduling, and productivity.

• Hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on hospitality, accountability, and operational excellence.

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Experience with multi-unit restaurant operations and/or catering is preferred.

• Ability to address basic restaurant equipment and facility maintenance needs.

• ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain certification.

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus, but not required.
