Equipment Sales Representative 1

Overview HVAC Equipment Account Executive – Boston, MA. Responsible for selling JohnsonControls HVAC equipment and related services to mechanical contractors, designers, consulting engineers, and owners. Builds and manages long‑term customer relationships, drives renewable service agreements, and executes a full sales cycle. Responsibilities Promote the JohnsonControls value proposition to the construction community and position the company as the preferred HVAC equipment supplier. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities, achieving quarterly quotas and annual sales plans. Use sales tools and the CRM to plan, document progress, and maximize business opportunity within assigned accounts. Partner with other sales representatives and agents to influence specifications and market pricing. Prepare and submit competitive proposals, cost/benefit analyses, and estimates. Negotiate value, address resistance, and close sales while maintaining high credibility. Manage the high activity of the pipeline in the CRM with focus on sales phases, close dates, and probability of close. Support consultant accounts and owners to obtain design‑stage specifications. Provide training and orientation to system operation and the value of services delivered. Qualifications 3+ years of successful commercial HVAC equipment field sales experience. Strong integrity, commitment to quality, and excellent initiative. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline preferred. Compensation Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience. Competitive Sales Incentive Plan with project, quarterly, and annual margin components.
