You'll work with a wide variety of industrial equipment while helping keep production operating safely and efficiently.Responsibilities include:Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment to minimize downtime.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, VFDs, motors, relays, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.Install, modify, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and production systems.Support automation projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain utilities, boilers, compressors, pumps, conveyors, wastewater systems, and facility equipment.Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Sanitation to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.Identify root causes of equipment failures and help implement permanent corrective actions.Mentor less experienced technicians and contribute to a collaborative maintenance team.Follow all GMP, HACCP, USDA, OSHA, and company safety standards.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for technicians who enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies, and taking pride in quality workmanship.Successful candidates typically have experience with many of the following:Industrial maintenanceAutomation systemsPLC troubleshootingAllen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platformsVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Industrial electrical systemsMotors and motor controlsMechanical maintenancePneumatic systemsHydraulic systemsPumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmissionWelding and fabricationPreventive maintenancePredictive maintenanceRoot cause troubleshootingCMMS softwareFood manufacturing experience (preferred but not required)Don't meet every qualification?That's okay.If you're an experienced industrial maintenance technician with a strong mechanical or electrical background and a willingness to learn, we'd still encourage you to apply.Why B&D Foods?At B&D Foods, we believe trust is earned every day-through the way we support one another, solve problems, and invest in our people.When you join our team, you'll find:Up to $42.00 per hour DOEThree 12-hour shifts each week with built-in days offStable, year-round employmentComprehensive benefitsOpportunities to expand your automation and technical skillsA collaborative maintenance teamFamily-founded company with more than 50 years of manufacturing excellenceAverage employee tenure of approximately 10 yearsA workplace where careers are built-not just jobsPhysical RequirementsLift up to 75 pounds.Stand and walk for extended periods on concrete floors.Bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work safely around industrial equipment.Work in varying temperatures typical of a food manufacturing environment.Ready To Build Something Bigger?If you're looking for more than just another maintenance job-if you want to work for a company where your skills are respected, your ideas are valued, and your work makes a measurable impact-we'd like to meet you.Apply today and help keep Idaho's best-kept secret running.
