In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your education and experience as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep the threats at bay.THE WORK:The GG DevOps System Engineer is in a customer-facing role leading multi-faceted mission critical system integration, testing, and deployment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite communication systems, from integration to deployment, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets user requirements. The following are the primary functions of the position:DevOps Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for C++ or Python applications.System Integration and Testing Develop and oversee the integration strategy for combining hardware, software, and network components into a cohesive system. Plan and execute integration and testing activities, including system-level tests, performance evaluations, and validation against requirements. Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SE labor category level 3.Desired Skills:Technical Skills: Experience with leveraging tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible to automate server provisioning, patching, configuration management, and deployment workflows. Experience supporting large-scale server lifecycle management, including the creation, maintenance, and transformation of operating system baselines and server configurations. Knowledge of Linux system programming and development environments.Additional Skills: Understanding of RF signals analysis or satellite communications system design and theory.Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
