Family Nurse PractitionerJoin Proactive MD as a Family Nurse Practitioner Proactive MD is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide comprehensive primary care at our employer-sponsored health center in Midland, TX. Position hours: Monday: 7-4, T: 7-7, W: 8-4, Th: 8-6, F:7-1 (1 hour lunch break) (40hrs/week). New Clinic Scheduled to open January 4, 2027. Clinic Address: 37 N. As an FNP with Proactive MD, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and make a lasting impact on their health.What You'll Do As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will:Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and pediatric (2+) patients in an employer-sponsored health centerPerform preventive, acute, and chronic care visitsConduct physical examinations, health assessments, and comprehensive medical historiesDiagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditionsDevelop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patientsProvide health education, preventive care, and wellness counselingOrder and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testingPrescribe medications in accordance with applicable state and federal regulationsCoordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare resources when appropriateDevelop strong, long-term relationships with patientsDocument patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical recordMaintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical quality standardsCollaborate with the onsite clinical team to provide coordinated, high-quality careSupport clinic workflows and contribute to an efficient, team-oriented environmentChampion the Proactive MD Mission, Vision, Values, and Patient Promise in every patient interactionQualifications RequiredMaster's degree in Nursing (MSN)Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certificationMinimum of 2 years of experience in family practice or primary careCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) licenseCurrent Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practiceCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)Appropriate prescriptive authority under applicable state and federal lawsExperience using electronic medical records (EMR); Proactive MD uses athenahealthStrong computer skills, including experience with internet, spreadsheet, and word-processing softwareStrong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and workflow-management skillsKnowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical quality standardsAbility to work effectively with patients and colleagues from diverse backgroundsPreferredExperience providing comprehensive primary care in an employer-sponsored, occupational health, or workplace health settingExperience managing both acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient primary care environmentInterest in preventive medicine, population health, and patient engagementWhy Join Proactive MD?
