Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous facility employees may be considered on a one-off exception basis with St. Luke’s Health System approval. - Shifts can be blocked or grouped together.

Unit Details: - Uses Epic and SpaceLabs. - Common diagnoses/patient population includes heart failure, COPD, sepsis, AFIB, pneumonia, stroke, detox, and suicidal holds. - No titratable drips; set-rate medications include Diltiazem, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lidocaine. - Uses CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow; patients on BiPAP for more than 4 hours transfer to the ICU. - RNs are required to sign off their telemetry strips. - Team nursing model; if full, the unit has a charge nurse with 7 RNs on the floor and 2 lead RNs with 1-2 patients who assist with med passes and patient care. Travelers may work as lead if experienced.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend requirements: as needed — try to do every other, but may need travelers to fill in the holes. - Holiday requirements: if there is a need. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to MedSurg here. May also float to Meridian or Boise to Tele.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission
