WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST?

You bring experience supporting the mental health needs of children, families, and adults in community-based environments. You are committed to working with diverse populations, serving multicultural and underserved communities. You practice trauma-informed care principlesand understand the importance of culturally responsive care. You demonstrate sound clinical judgment in crisis intervention, supporting client well-beingin asafe, ethical, and compliant environment. You can effectively navigate the EXYM system and complete DMH documentation accurately and timely.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

As the Mental Health Therapist, you will utilize independent judgment and expertise to provide mental health services that include psycho-diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual and group psychotherapy, rehabilitative and case management services. You will provide client-driven, trauma-informed services, either in office, telehealth or in the community, providing crisis support and stabilization. You will have the opportunity to work with underserved communities, removing barriers and stigmas to mental health access, creating more New Beginnings. Clinical Services & Direct Care Treatment Planning & Clinical Documentation Assist with client transportation related to services, referrals, or approved program activities, when required. Assist with crisis intervention and occasional after-hours coverage as assigned. Compliance, Ethics, & Program Deliverables Professional Development & Clinical Practice Operational and Administrative Support

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education/Background: Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field required. Must be a Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and be in good standing. This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, meet the company’s motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meets company’s insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements. Ongoing employment is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) highly preferred. Those assigned to provide services in Spanish and English must be able to speak, read, write, and understand both languages at a professional level to communicate Spanish-speaking clients and partners. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams). HYBRID REMOTE: Position is hybrid remote and requires telehealth and in-person appointments in the field and in the office, meeting with clients, prospects and community partners as needed. Position requires transporting clients as needed. Employee must be available to work during office hours. Employees in crisis programs must be available to participate in the on-call rotation schedule as assigned. Certain programs must be able to provide services in SPA 4 and 6 as needed.
