Field Service EngineerAbout the role:This role is for a Field Service Technician specializing in HP Indigo Digital Printing Presses. In this role, you'll be the face of HP for our customers, delivering exceptional on-site service, diagnostics, and repairs. You'll work from your home base in the greater South Carolina area, traveling to customer sites to ensure their digital printing solutions run flawlessly.This is more than a technical role — it's about building trust, solving problems, and keeping businesses moving, while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels and addressing customer-related issues promptly.What You'll DoInstall & Configure: Set up HP Indigo Digital Printing presses, including hardware, software, and network components.Maintain & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues.Customer Training: Educate customers on proper usage, color management, and best practices.Project Execution: Follow installation and escalation plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.Proactive Support: Use monitoring tools to identify and prevent potential issues before they impact operations.Customer Engagement: Provide clear updates, resolve concerns promptly, and maintain high satisfaction levels.What You BringTechnical Expertise:Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of digital printing press technologySolid computer/networking skillsEducation & Experience:High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competenceTypical candidate possesses 4-6 years in field service, technical support, or printing press repairExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and under pressureOther Requirements:Valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift, bend, and stoop throughout the daySpecialized Skills:HP Indigo knowledgePrinting industry knowledgeAbility to integrate hardware/software solutionsLocation:Candidate must reside in the greater Georgia area. This is a field-based role with 80% travel to customer sites. Travel distances will vary day-to-day.The pay range for this position is $24 to $34 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
