About this role

We're hiring a mid-level electrician in Bethesda, MD to troubleshoot and repair building controls and power systems. You'll work hands-on with motors, starters, relays, control components, and backup power systems to keep building infrastructure running. Expect a mix of electrical and mechanical work: reading ladder logic and schematics, replacing and wiring hardware, and supporting repairs on ATS, UPS/battery storage, emergency generators and photovoltaic systems. Schedule includes nights, weekends and holiday response as required.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot controls and power electrical systems using ladder logic, PLCs, diagrams and schematics
• Remove, replace and wire motors, starters, relays, limit switches, fuses and primary control components
• Assemble, inspect, adjust and repair electrical and electronic devices at a mid-level skillset
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on automatic transfer switches, UPS/battery storage, emergency generators and photovoltaic systems
• Respond to after-hours calls and work scheduled nights, weekends and holidays; document work and maintain service records

What we're looking for

• State licensed electrician required (Journeyman-level experience)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot controls and power systems using ladder logic, PLCs and technical drawings
• Hands-on experience replacing and wiring motors, starters, relays, switches and overcurrent devices
• Experience with standby/emergency systems: ATS, generators, UPS/battery storage and photovoltaic systems
• Able to perform mid-level mechanical repair, assembly and adjustment on building system components
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays; able to respond to emergency calls

Qualifications

• State Licensed Electrician (required) - Journeyman or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic and technical drawings
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• OSHA 10 or 30 safety training preferred
